Delivery specialist Panther Warehousing has teamed up with Parcel2Go.com to launch the courier comparison website's first two-man delivery service.
The move is a reflection of a growing trend in the market, with consumers increasingly choosing to buy heavier, large-ticket items, such as furniture, office equipment and televisions, online.
Over the last few years Panther has established a solid reputation for its specialist white glove, two-man delivery service that is unmatched in the industry.
The collaboration with Parcel2Go.com means that the service is now available to small and independent retailers along with Amazon partners and eBay resellers which will give them even more of a competitive edge when it comes to pricing and service.
Panther is well placed, through its unique offering, to meet the demands of the marketplace and provide retailers with excellent levels of service.
Parcel2Go.com customers can choose a variety of service options - from standard delivery to the special white glove service. For the standard service Panther provides a full signature service; collecting and delivering to the front door of the delivery destination. For the special white glove service, Panther collects and delivers to a room of choice and also removes and disposes of all packaging.
Martin Brown, General Manager of Parcel2Go.com, says the new two-man service will be ideal for Parcel2Go.com's customers, particularly those involved in the eBay, SME or C2C sectors.
"We are very excited about the launch of this service, managed by the leading experts in two-man delivery, and expect it to be extremely popular," says Brown.
Panther's Managing Director Colin McCarthy says: "This venture with Parcel2Go.com has great potential as consumers ordering larger, heavier items online want fast, reliable deliveries. We are pleased to be able to provide this premium, two-man delivery service to Parcels2Go.com customers."
Founded in 1989 with just two vehicles, Panther is expanding fast. The company's turnover has tripled in the past three years.
It recently acquired Hi-Way Express in a move that will take the company to a £25m turnover by the end of 2014, further reinforcing Panther's market-leading position as a dedicated white glove, two-man delivery specialist.
The company has recently further extended its service offering with the introduction of timed services and Saturday delivery as well as boosting its presence with two new depots in Peterlee and Taunton.
