Crown Equipment Corporation has secured a place on the shortlist for one of the intralogistics industry’s top awards, with its WJ 50 Series electric pallet trucks nominated for the 2026 IFOY Awards.
The company has been named a finalist in the “Warehouse Truck ‘Lowlifter’” category, recognising the performance and design of its most compact lithium-powered electric pallet truck.
The WJ 50 Series has been developed to help operators move heavy loads in confined warehouse environments, combining a small footprint with high manoeuvrability and reduced physical effort.
Crown says the walkie pallet trucks deliver industry-leading energy efficiency through a V-Force 48-volt lithium-ion battery, alongside a design tailored for tight working spaces.
The series is also backed by Crown’s 3-2-1 Warranty, which the company says underlines the durability and build quality of the trucks.
Customer feedback has highlighted precise control, operator comfort and long-term reliability as key strengths of the WJ 50 Series.
Commenting on the nomination, Ken Dufford, vice president Europe at Crown, said: “Being nominated for the prestigious IFOY Award with the WJ 50 Series underscores Crown’s focus on innovation, quality and reliability.”
He added: “It confirms that since Crown was founded more than 80 years ago, it has continued to develop advanced technology that helps shape the future of material handling and keep our customers’ operations running worldwide.”
Dufford said the latest pallet truck reflects Crown’s long-standing design philosophy, with the WJ 50 Series “putting the operator at the centre – true to the Crown standard”.
The IFOY Awards recognise innovation and performance in warehouse and material flow technology and are regarded as one of the world’s leading technology competitions for intralogistics providers.
According to the organisers, an IFOY nomination has become a recognised benchmark within the B2B sector for both cost-effectiveness and innovation.
The winners of the IFOY Awards 2026 will be announced at a ceremony in Stuttgart on 25 June.
