Cargotec is launching the Hiab ST 080 in emerging markets. Due to its compact dimensions, this speedy crane is a perfect match for light trucks.
The ST (stiff and telescopic) concept was originally inspired by stiff boom users' need for a crane with excellent hoisting properties, a low weight and long lifetime. This new member of the Hiab ST crane family will strengthen the product line's position in the world of hoisting cranes.
The Hiab ST 080 extension boom is based on its unique hexagonal profiles. The crane is available with two or three extensions. The ST 083-032 has two extensions and a horizontal outreach of 7.8 metres, while the ST 084-032 has three extensions and a horizontal outreach of 10.1 metres. The ST 080 range has a maximum lifting capacity on the hook of 3 200 kg.
The speed of the Hiab ST 080 is based on its easy operation. High productivity and smooth operation is ensured by the excellent Hiab control valve. All ST cranes are manually controlled through user friendly cross controls; these enable the driver to operate the crane from both sides of the truck in the same logical sequence. A strong and well-designed hoisting mechanism, combined with large wire drums, provides fast and reliable load handling while minimising time spent on loading and unloading. A powerful gearbox provides high hoisting speed at low noise levels.
The Hiab ST 080 is made of high quality materials. It also features various built-in and well protected components. The crane has compact dimensions and low weight, is easy to service and guarantees a long lifetime. "The need for ST cranes is rising rapidly in the emerging markets. We are delighted to be able to present our customers with more alternatives, so that they can find the best solution for their work," says Marcel Kappe at Cargotec.
