A-Plant has supported Keepmoat Homes by supplying telehandlers for four home building projects across Yorkshire.

The JCB Telehandlers meet Stage IIIB/Tier 4 emission regulations, utilise ultra-clean technology and use up to 10% less fuel than older Tier 3 units. The telehandlers are also equipped with the latest in telematics technology meaning Keepmoat has been able to monitor machine usage and even set up automated alerts if the hired machines exceed site speed limits or are moved out of a specified geographic zone.

Construction Director at Keepmoat, Andy Sanderson commented, “A-Plant has supplied Keepmoat Homes with four brand new 14m telehandlers, each with 10 tipping skips and a sweeper / collector attachment.

“Not only has the equipment from A-Plant been top of the range but the overall service has been first class. We’ve received monthly KPI data packs that concisely show machine productivity, CO2 emissions and fuel efficiency. What’s more, the machines are automatically monitored for their next service and when nearly due A-Plant has contacted us to find a convenient time to attend site and service them.”

National Account Manager at A-Plant, Tom Welland added, “We’ve supported Keepmoat with these machines on a six-month trial, which has proved really successful. The JCB Telehandlers are absolutely ideal for working on housing sites, they are in constant use and their great fuel efficiency gives significant savings.”

Tom continues, “We’re predominantly known as a major supplier of plant but we also serve customers in the home building sector with equipment and solutions for all stages of property and housing development. Whether it is for site surveys, foundations, building and fit-out stages or for maintenance and facilities management, we’re always able to offer the right solution for the job.”
