WTG held its second showcase event of the year on 18/19 October. Feedback from exhibitors and visitors alike has been extremely positive and confirms that its unique working warehouse and technology partnership provides insight into the warehousing and logistics industry that is otherwise unavailable.
The relaxed and informal arrangements allowed visitors to tour the facility without pressure and discuss all aspects of warehousing operations. It is this environment that is always praised; visitors see this as a better investment of their time than a normal exhibition.
The twin themes of Green Efficiency and Safety in the Warehouse captured the imagination and pre-event registrations for some of the seminar programmes sessions were over subscribed.
The 2 keynote speakers; Ian Hancock (Safety) and Lance Pearson (Green Energy) enjoyed a great reaction to their presentations and established numerous contacts for potential future business. Similarly WTG partners' presentations were well structured, relevant and gained great reviews.
Barloworld appeared at a WTG event for the first time as the guest MHE provider: It showcased a range of warehouse trucks. Key Account Manager Drew Farrell delivered a fascinating insight into Lean Green Efficiency in MHE which proved to be one of the most popular seminars on both days.
Without doubt the best attended session of both days was the free hot lunch! Home made pies and mushy peas or chicken curry and rice, followed by superb home made cake and cream, drew massive praise from all 200+ diners!
