Welconstruct strengthens key account team

Welconstruct Distribution, the oldest workplace equipment catalogue company in the UK, has expanded its key account team to handle a growing portfolio of big name clients.

The Birmingham based company, which launched its 2005 catalogue in February, celebrates its 60th anniversary this year.

General Manager Chris Humphreys said: "We have a number of international companies with multi-site operations among our customers. Their strategic purchasing decisions are often complex and need a particular focus.

"That is why we have expanded the key account team, to build even closer relationships with these clients and make the purchasing process even simpler."

Key account management has grown from a key account manager to a team of four.

Martin Quigley heads the unit, supported by colleagues Bill Higgins, Sarah Earp, Russell Bôbin and Martyn Edwards.

Martin Quigley has held senor management roles within the Welconstruct Group of companies for 20 years. Bill previously worked as Welconstruct's representative in Scotland for 25 years.

Sarah joined Welconstruct Distribution after nine years handling strategic accounts for a nationwide vehicle leasing group.

Russell was a key account manager in manufacturing for the stationery sector for ten years, while Martyn Edwards has worked in the manufacturing and service sectors, working as a sales rep, account manager and key accounts manager.

Welconstruct Distribution, part of the Welconstruct Group based at Woodgate Business Park, supplies a wide range of industrial and commercial sectors. These include automotive, retail, business services, wholesale and distribution.
