Vecoplan Limited, the wholly owned UK subsidiary of Vecoplan AG the global leader in wood processing and recycling technologies, has enjoyed an amazing year of growth and development culminating in the acquisition of Almac.
Almac who have long enjoyed an enviable reputation within the industry had previously supplied and serviced Vecoplan equipment in the UK and Ireland for almost thirty years. The acquisition consolidates Vecoplan's wood and biomass activities under a single banner, and allows Vecoplan Ltd to roll out a spares and service activity across all market sectors in the UK through a team of trained and experienced engineers. The acquisition is part of a programme of growth and development and allows Vecoplan to carry a substantial stock of tools, spares and wear parts in the UK, and to offer service and maintenance contracts to its growing client base.
The addition of Almac's substantial resources has cemented Vecoplan's position as the preferred choice for shredding and chipping equipment, conveyors, screens, separation equipment and materials handling systems and equipment.
Vecoplan are world leaders in waste processing, RDF production, plastics processing and recycling, document destruction, wood processing and biomass fuel production.
Vecoplan's Managing Director, Jerry Quickenden commented, "It is most important to us that our clients have continuity of production and we endeavour to maintain the integrity of their Vecoplan equipment at all times. The acquisition of Almac will allow us to deliver these very high levels of service to an ever increasing number of clients."
