TOYOTA Industrial Equipment has launched its new range of explosion-proof forklifts as a full factory option, to ensure an even quicker and simpler ordering process for customers.
Using specialist technologies, Toyota now offers a range of purpose built explosion-proof trucks as opposed to the usual practice of retro-fit modification of a standard fork truck. The trucks are designed to operate safely in potentially explosive environments including zone 1 and zone 2 - zone 1 is classified as a place where an explosive atmosphere is likely to occur and zone 2 as where it is not likely to occur in normal operation. With the technology integrated into the Toyota trucks during production, the end result is a purpose built, highly effective product.

TOYOTA's explosion-proof option is currently available on its 7FDF and 7FBMF models. The modifications will ensure the forklifts meet the requirements of European law ATEX 1994/9/EC and ATEX 1999/9/EC.
