Stabau S7 forks move up to eight pallets in one lift

Warehouse operators can move as many as eight pallets in a single lift using Stabau’s S7 range of multi-pallet fork attachments.

The equipment is designed to reduce the number of forklift journeys required in warehouses, distribution centres and industrial sites with high volumes of goods.

Multi-pallet handlers allow several loads to be collected simultaneously rather than moving each pallet separately.

Depending on the model and fork configuration, the S7 range can carry one, two or three pallets side by side.

Longer forks can also accommodate pallets positioned front to back, increasing capacity to as many as eight loads during one movement.

Stabau said the range was particularly suited to high-throughput sectors such as food and drink production, building materials and distribution.

The double-pallet handler, known as the DPK, can carry one or two pallets side by side.

With suitable fork lengths, it can handle two or four pallets arranged in a row.

The 3-PK model extends the side-by-side capacity to three pallets in a single operation.

For higher-volume applications, the SPG can transport four or six pallets, while the APG is designed for six or eight.

Stabau has also developed versions intended for sites where storage space or vehicle access is restricted.

Double-pallet handlers fitted with telescopic fork tines can load or unload a lorry from one side.

The extending forks allow pallets to be positioned at or retrieved from the rear of the loading area, reducing the amount of vehicle manoeuvring required.

An alternative version uses a feed fork carriage to reach rear rows where long or telescopic forks are unsuitable.

The DPK features two pairs of forks with hydraulically adjustable spacing, enabling operators to accommodate different pallet sizes without changing attachments.

Standard equipment includes a separate side shift to help drivers position loads more accurately.

The attachments also use bolted fork tines and a patented synchronisation system intended to keep fork movements aligned without additional valve control.

The manufacturer said the system was designed to deliver “high working speed combined with precise handling, even under demanding operating conditions.”

Other features include low-wear guide systems, raised outer forks intended to stabilise loads and a design aimed at maintaining driver visibility.

Optional equipment includes mechanically or hydraulically folding load stops, which can alter the usable fork length.

Additional load restraints are also available for delicate or unstable goods.

Stabau said the multi-pallet range could help businesses reduce forklift movements, increase throughput and make better use of their handling equipment.
