Merseyside-based transport and warehousing services company, Sovereign Transport, is celebrating its 15th year as part of the Palletways express distribution network, Europe’s largest and fastest growing operation for the delivery of palletised freight.
Sovereign Transport, which was established in 1984, has been a member of Palletways since 1999, enabling it to offer a range of express palletised freight delivery services locally and nationally and throughout Europe.
Rachel Forshaw, Sales Manager at Sovereign Transport said: “We are proud to have been part of the Palletways network for 15 years. The support that the network offers has helped our company grow its business both in the UK and across Europe."
Sovereign Transport has a 25-strong vehicle fleet and employs over 40 staff. The company also operates a “green haulage” policy as part of its commitment to the conservation of the environment. The company has recently purchased some new land in order to build a bespoke depot with warehousing facilities as part of their national expansion.
Managing Director, Stephen Radcliffe said “We have continually adapted our business plan to meet the changing requirements of the network and our customer base. We believe that by tailoring our business approach for both ourselves and our customers, we have differentiated ourselves as one of the major suppliers in the industry. We are confident as we expand our premises and services, that the network and customers alike will benefit from the new services we plan to provide”.
The Palletways network is made up of independent transport companies, including Sovereign Transport, who share each other’s resources to deliver palletised freight to the marketplace faster and more cost effectively than ever before.
