International software company Preactor Group has announced the opening of a direct office in Spain to help manufacturers across the country become more efficient.
Based in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Barcelona, Preactor Europe's Spanish office will be the newest international office of the worldwide leader in advanced planning and scheduling software.
The on-the-ground, local expertise will prove invaluable to companies using Preactor software in industries as diverse as manufacturing, logistics and services.
Raul Buiza, Country Manager for Preactor Europe in Spain and Portugal, said the launch of the Spanish office today was timed to support Spanish firms who are prioritising return on investment in order to survive the current economic climate.
"The financial downturn continues to have a significant impact on Spanish businesses, which are therefore looking to maximise their return on investment in the fastest, slickest way possible," he said.
"More than ever before, companies are recognising the benefits they can obtain by using Preactor to manage their production in a more agile and efficient way, even when demand varies from week to week."
The Preactor range of production planning and scheduling software is already in use by a wide range of businesses across Spain, including major players such as Zedis, Argal, Tuboplast-Ctl, Azud, Takasago etc.
The Spanish office will support Preactor's network of business partners in Spain, who provide local, face-to-face support to more than 40 existing Preactor users.
"It's interesting to see how ERP (enterprise resource planning) and MES (manufacturing execution system) vendors are interested in complementing their portfolio of solutions," said Buiza.
