The RTITB Master Driver CPC Consortium has delivered its one millionth Periodic Training Hour. The millionth hour upload represents a major achievement for the consortium and it is a testament to its member organisations' commitment to setting high safety standards on the UK's roads.
The millionth hour was delivered on the 24th September 2013 by Logistics Company Kuehne + Nagel. On learning that his organisation had achieved this major landmark for the consortium, Robert Hollier, Kuehne + Nagel Operations Training Manager said "I am extremely pleased we have received this recognition from such a professional body as RTITB. It is testament to the hard work and effort that all those involved in Driver CPC training within the company, managers and trainers alike, have put in over the past four years. I would like to congratulate Bob Lord on gaining this award, but at the same time, I would like to extend these congratulations to every CPC trainer within the business for the dedication that they have shown towards delivering high standards across our entire network. We look forward to continuing our relationship with RTITB, and to the next million hours!"
Kuehne + Nagel Instructor, Bob Lord who delivered the millionth hour, commented, "Having been involved in providing CPC for four years, since the outset of the programme in Kuehne + Nagel, I have seen how fundamental it has become to providing drivers with regular and updated training in key topics, and gaining additional skills and knowledge. I am therefore very happy to receive this recognition for uploading the millionth hour of CPC training." RTITB will be marking the occasion by awarding a commemorative plaque to Kuehne + Nagel during November.
The Master Driver CPC Consortium was created to provide an effective, nationwide solution to Driver CPC Periodic Training in 2008. Since its implementation, members of the Master Driver CPC Consortium have delivered training to over 140,000 drivers, playing a significant role in helping the UK's goods vehicle and passenger carrying vehicle drivers comply with the European Directive.
RTITB is the UK and Ireland's largest materials handling training accrediting body and leads the biggest Driver CPC consortium in the UK and would like to thank their valued Consortium Members for their on-going loyalty and contribution, because without them none of this would be possible.
