Rotherham's Reflex Systems breaks new ground on the continent

North Germany is the scene of another UK business success story, as Rotherham based Reflex Systems has been called in to provide its expertise on video, alarm and access control for a brand new gas storage facility in Wittmund.

The site required the very latest site management and safety and security systems, which led the client to ask Reflex to work in partnership with CSE Controls, whose site safety and control background dovetailed perfectly with Reflex and became key to the success of the project.

For a high tech specialist site importing and distributing natural gas stored underground, it is essential any new system adheres to stringent industry regulations which highlight and demand only the most robust and compliant products and services. To achieve this called for close collaboration between CSE and Reflex and involved the two specialists developing new integration software to allow the seamless operation, control and monitoring of the site management systems through a single technology platform.

Reflex supplied ATEX and CSA compliant fixed and functional PTZ cameras to provide security and perimeter protection, which also includes next generation video analytics software. This allows for the identification of alarm conditions, fibre optic transmission of security camera images, plus specialist fire detection cameras.

Commenting on this latest project in Germany, Reflex Group Managing Director, John Pye said: "Reflex has worked on projects within the petrochemical industry over the last 25 years and understand the industry regulations, specialist nature of the sites and the importance of supplying robust and compliant products and services.

"This application demonstrates our ability to enter into strategic and technology partnerships that provide the end customer with specific tailored solutions and technological enhancement."
