Palletforce member Fagan and Whalley invests in new Coventry depot

Palletforce member Fagan and Whalley has opened a new depot in Coventry as it continues to go from strength to strength.

The new depot opened on March 24, enabling Fagan and Whalley to offer a wider range of services to its customers.

"Our new depot means we can now offer a greater range of delivery services and options to our customers. It also means we can help new customers and develop our business further," said Stephen Fagan, director of Fagan and Whalley.

"Our latest site is in addition to our other sites in Padiham and St Helen's and is testament to the ongoing investment in quality services we offer to our customers."

Fagan and Whalley, which recently celebrated its 87th birthday, started life as coal delivery merchants in Burnley, Lancashire back in 1927. Since then it has expanded into one of the country's premier road hauliers, initially for the local area's textile and chemical industries. During the 1990s, the firm became a nationwide delivery operator and is now a nationally recognised brand with its own large fleet of vehicles.

"Fagan and Whalley has a track-record of proven success and its investment in its new Coventry base will only help it continue that success," said Michael Conroy, Chief Executive of Palletforce.

Palletforce is the UK and Europe's leading palletised distribution network. It is a member-owned organisation which means any transport companies who join receive an equity share as well as being able to benefit from a vast array of technology-driven logistics services.
