Norbert Dentressangle picks up second major learning & development award

Norbert Dentressangle has secured its second major HR accolade in 12 months, lifting the prestigious 2013 HR Award for Distinction in Learning & Development at a ceremony at the ICC in Birmingham on 22 January.

Judged by a panel of HR experts from leading businesses including Barclays, McDonalds and Tesco, the awards recognise outstanding achievement across eight HR disciplines, with the Distinction in Learning & Development award going to the company whose learning and development programme caters for and maximises potential at all levels in the business and fundamentally supports the company's organisational goals.

The judges commended Norbert Dentressangle's entry as "a really compelling submission from an organisation that produced a wide ranging learning and development initiative. Employees were enthused at all levels which delivered a quantifiable, tenfold return on their training investment."

Mark Simmons, HR & QHSE director at Norbert Dentressangle Logistics UK Ltd said: "I am very proud of this achievement and of the HR team. This award is further recognition of the high quality learning and development initiatives we have in the business and the genuine focus on and investment in developing our people.

"This is an important differentiator for us in the current marketplace against a particularly challenging economic backdrop."

The latest award follows Norbert Dentressangle's success in the 2012 Motor Transport Awards where the company beat off stiff competition to lift the Training trophy.
