Yesterday (18 June) Cllr Alan Sitkin, Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Economic Regeneration and Business Development, saw for himself the development of a 93,000 sq ft warehouse being built in the heart of industrial Enfield (Mollison Avenue).
The warehouse, being developed by leading industrial warehouse developer IDI Gazeley (Brookfield Logistics Properties), creates a number of permanent jobs for local people and also offers a number of training possibilities.
The warehouse, which is due to complete at the end of June, and will be immediately available for occupation and is suitable for a range of uses - most notably industrial storage, and will have spaces for 90 cars and 23 HGVs when completed, plus office space.
Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Cllr Alan Sitkin, said: “This development right in the heart of Enfield’s industrial estates serves as an excellent example of how we can all work together to bring jobs and prosperity to Enfield.
“When operational, this warehouse will not only bring in a large commercial company to Enfield, but will also be in a position to offer jobs to local people, during the building phase and above all once the unit is filled.”
