Shears Bros Transport has relocated to a 54,000 sq ft warehouse and distribution facility located at Bournemouth International Airport.
The facility was officially opened by Pall-Ex founder, Hilary Devey on Friday February 12.
The new facility comprises of a 29,000 sq ft Cross Docking Facility with full height doors which allow access for double decked trailers. All freight transfers are performed inside the building fully protected from the weather and in a secure environment.
The warehouse is 25,000sq ft with a capacity of 2000 pallets - the new facility will provide Shears' customers with additional services including short and long term storage, Pick and Pack and Order fulfilment.
Ian Shears, MD of Shears Bros Transport, is delighted with the move.
He said: "We immediately saw the potential in the building that was once used for the production of the Vickers Viscount 800 series aircraft. The new site enables us to provide additional service options to our existing customer base and also potential customers."
Shears Bros is a member of Pall-Ex - the UK's number one network for distribution of palletised freight.
