Spring 2005 sees the launch of ‘Shift Stack and Store’, a new series of regional events that will be held across the country to bring together leading equipment suppliers, independent industry experts and buyers of materials handling and storage equipment as a local road show forum. The events are free to delegates and will include a programme of practical, ‘no nonsense’ talks given by organisations such as the UK Warehousing Association (UKWA), the Institute of Logistics and Transport (IoLT) and the Health & Safety Executive (HSE). The discussions will cover those perennial concerns of increasing efficiency and driving down warehouse costs, as well as hot topics such as radio frequency identification (RFID) and the Working Time Directive. Local representatives of well-known suppliers - including Allibert, Chloride, e-racking, Finning, Hako, Jungheinrich and Linde - will be on hand to discuss delegates’ equipment requirements and show latest examples from their product ranges.
Event organiser Ian Guiver comments: “People are often too busy nowadays to spend a whole day travelling across the country to visit exhibitions in Birmingham and London. Shift Stack and Store is a road show that will bring the best in the world of materials handling to the customer, wherever they are based.”
The UK Warehousing Association is supporting Shift Stack and Store. UKWA will also be combining its annual conference with the Chepstow road show. Events will be held in Middlesbrough, Bolton, Birmingham, Chepstow and London. Delegates can reserve their places, including attendance at any or all the free talks, by calling the registration hotline on 01663 766706 or online at www.shiftstackstore.com. Full details of the programme, participants, dates and venues may also be obtained by visiting the website. As places at these events are limited, early booking is strongly recommended.
