Logistics firm, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Germany, has announced the opening of its new logistics facility in Nieder-Olm. The decision to open the new facility came after some encouraging growth in 2010, which necessitated the need for extra space.
"The new location is more modern and has better transport links", said Markus Manz, Branch Manager of Hellmann, Nieder-Olm. "The hall area is 7,000 square metres larger than the former location in Rüsselsheim and the new facility has 33 platforms and a much larger yard area, so that operational processes are handled more efficiently."
The last of the loading, in Rüsselsheim, took place on the 4th March with the shipping operation restarting on the 7th March at Nieder-Olm. In April, the Nieder-Olm office will take over the distribution for CargoLine, which is currently established at Hofman Cargo in Bischofsheim until March 31st. The corresponding framework agreements between Hellmann and CargoLine have been drawn up.
