Leading European logistics provider P&O Ferrymasters has appointed Phillip Jones as its new Commercial Director.
Phillip, 42, will be responsible for the company's commercial strategy, including marketing and public relations activities. He has worked for the company for 17 years and is currently P&O Ferrymasters' General Manager - Corporate Sales. Phillip will hold a seat on the company's executive board when he takes up the post on 1 April.
Managing Director Bas Belder said: "Phillip has already played a major role in leading our corporate sales team and bringing major new accounts to P&O Ferrymasters. The need to penetrate new markets and capitalise on existing opportunities has never been so important so his experience and expertise will be crucial in this new strategic role."
Phillip, who has a Masters degree in Business Administration, added: "This is an exciting opportunity to lead and direct the development of the company's commercial strategy through these challenging economic times. Commercial excellence underpins the successful delivery of our drive to be Europe's number one logistics services provider. By analysing the market, identifying untapped commercial opportunities and cultivating new and strengthening existing customer relationships, I am confident our team can drive and deliver growth across our business activities."
Phillip replaces Mark Mulder, who left the company in January.
