Merseyside-based logistics company, Sovereign Transport, has secured a contract with bathroom specialists Victorian Plumbing.
Sovereign Transport, also part of Europe’s leading palletised freight network Palletways for 15 years, has been announced as the main haulier for the online bathroom store and will be responsible for all their deliveries in the UK and across Europe.
Mark Radcliffe, managing director at Victorian Plumbing said: “As an online-focused business, we need to know that our deliveries are reaching customers on time and in the same condition they left our warehouse. We need to be able to trust our partners and Sovereign Transport has provided us with consistency, reliability and an ease of communication that lets us know that our customers are in good hands”.
Rachael Forshaw, sales manager at Sovereign Transport, added: “This is not just a contract win for us but a great partnership working with one of the biggest bathroom retailers in the UK and Europe. Our partnership has grown rapidly and with the expertise of both companies, the handling of over 30,000 pallets has been largely trouble free”.
Sovereign Transport has a 25-strong vehicle fleet and employs over 40 members of staff. As part of its expansion plans, the company has recently acquired some new land to accommodate a brand new bespoke-built national depot.
