Interroll is preparing to showcase its latest material handling and automation technology as it opens a newly refurbished customer experience centre at its UK headquarters in Kettering.
The centre will officially open on Wednesday, 9 September, bringing together customers, system integrators and industry partners to see the company’s latest equipment in operation.
Among the technologies on display will be Interroll’s award-winning MCP PLAY modular conveyor platform and its Sortteq Modular ChainBelt Sorter MC-S.
MCP PLAY is the latest development of the company’s established Modular Conveyor Platform.
It combines modular conveyor technology with software and control functions designed to make material handling systems easier to design, install, commission and operate.
The event will also feature the Sortteq Modular ChainBelt Sorter MC-S, a compact automated sorting system designed for operations handling between 3,000 and 8,000 items an hour.
The sorter can process up to 8,000 items per hour across as many as 50 destinations.
Interroll said its design is intended to provide reliable and gentle handling across a broad range of products, while a maintenance-friendly mechanical structure is designed to reduce downtime and support high availability.
A static module of Interroll’s Vertical Cross Belt Sorter will also be displayed as part of the company’s wider range of sorting technology.

He said MCP PLAY and the MC-S had both been developed around the practical requirements of system integrators and end-users.
“MCP PLAY and the MC-S represent two important areas of our current portfolio,” Mr Campbell said.
“Both have been developed with the practical needs of system integrators and end-users in mind, helping them to build efficient, flexible and reliable material handling systems.”
The refurbished centre will give customers and partners a dedicated space to explore Interroll’s conveyor, sortation and wider material handling technologies.
It will also allow visitors to discuss potential applications with Interroll specialists and examine how the systems could be incorporated into their own operations.
“The customer experience centre is designed to support that relationship from the earliest stages of a project through to installation, operation and ongoing support,” Mr Campbell said.
“Having the technology here in Kettering means customers can see it, discuss applications with our team and explore what it could mean for their own operations.”
The official opening will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony conducted by the Mayor of Kettering, Cllr Lauren Glanfield.
Interroll’s senior technical and product management teams will also deliver presentations during the event.
Visitors will be offered showroom and factory tours, as well as opportunities for one-to-one discussions with company specialists.
