This year's CV Show saw daily visits by various transport industry politicians to the Isuzu Truck stand in Hall 3 throughout the three days of the exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham.
Mike Penning, the Conservative MP for Hemel Hempstead and current Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Transport, visited the Isuzu Truck stand on the middle day of the show. CEO Nikki King greeted him, giving the Minister a full and comprehensive guided tour of the vehicles on display as well as the company's new I-Vision Technology Division.
On the opening day of the show, Nikki King and Isuzu Truck were also part of the CV Show visit undertaken by John Woodcock, MP for Barrow and Furness, and current Labour Shadow Minister for Transport.
Completing the trio of Parliamentary visitors to the Isuzu Truck stand on the final day of the CV Show was Stoke-on -Trent Labour MP, Rob Flello Chair, All-Party Parliamentary Group on Freight Transport.
As Keith Child, marketing director at Isuzu Truck UK said, "The industry has been through turmoil over the last few years and still faces some serious challenges ahead. It is important that we get these points across when we're given such an opportunity to do so. We are an innovative industry with a very important job to do. We employ thousands of people throughout the UK and we are constantly improving safety, economy and efficiency throughout the entire industry. We were delighted that we were invited to assist with the hosting of these visits and sincerely hope that the ministers went away suitably impressed."
