The new Hire and Rental Industry Business Management and Service Quality Specification was launched on Tuesday 14th December 2010 at the National Self Build and Renovation Centre in Swindon. HAE members, key stakeholders and guests were present to hear TV home makeover star Craig Phillips speak about the importance of safety in construction and hire industries.
Key partner organisations including BSI, CHAS, and HSE, also spoke about the vital role the Specification will play in raising the bar for safety in hire whatever the specialism.
Craig, who was the keynote speaker, said;" 'My own practical experience in the building trade and property development has made me very safety aware; getting the right things; at the right time; to be used by the right people sums up the challenge but also the opportunity. I'm sure the HAE Standard will be a big plus for hire businesses and welcomed by all their customers as a sign of their commitment to a safe quality service"
