The Bentley Continental GT is unquestionably one of the worlds most glamorous and prestigious automobiles and Bentleys clients demand a specification that suits their own exacting requirements – this includes their choice of engine set-up. Engines can be re-built and re-tuned in accordance with the owners instructions and after build engine removal and re-fitting is commonplace with engines being handled at Bentleys Crewe factory using a custom designed Edmolift model TLD1000 scissor lift table.
Highly accurate positioning of the engine is essential to aid the re-fitting process, extremely sensitive over pressure valves have been installed in the lifts hydraulic system to prevent engine and vehicle chassis damage. The lift is fully mobile for easy engine transportation and is fitted with a specially adapted cradle to secure the large engine mass.
