Growth in Renault Trucks Optifleet activations drives more cost savings for customers

Renault Trucks has announced that 40% of its heavy vehicle registrations in 2015 were activated with its cost-saving fleet management solution, Optifleet. Introduced with a 12 month free-of-charge subscription including two key modules, ‘Optifleet Check’ and ‘Optifleet Map’, the offer was taken up on nearly 1,000 Range T, Range C and Range K registrations.

Renault Trucks Optifleet, together with the fuel-efficient design of the strong Renault Trucks range, has been specifically developed to boost a fleet’s profitability, allowing operators to monitor, measure and improve fuel consumption and driver behaviour.

Nigel Butler, Commercial Director, Renault Trucks UK, commented on the success of the 2015 activations: “We are delighted to see so many of our customers taking our telematics solution to help with their day-to-day operations and reduce operating costs.  Renault Trucks’ focus is to be the customer’s cost champion and our decision to offer these two Optifleet modules free of charge again in 2016 demonstrates our commitment to our customers.”

Nigel continues: “Despite recent welcome reductions in fuel prices, fuel is still a fleet’s largest single expense and by investing in a system that measures vehicle fuel data and driver behaviour, our customers have the tools to make substantial improvements in their cost base. The great news is that a large proportion of our customers have made the choice to share this fuel data with their Renault Trucks dealer who can proactively support them with further advice and training. This is a good example of Renault Trucks working in partnership with our customers to deliver the real savings that increase the bottom line.
