FTA Scottish Supply Chain Conference to feature planning for Commonwealth Games

The Freight Transport Association (FTA) has announced the date of the 2013 Scottish Supply Chain Conference which is Thursday 26 September.

Last year's successful event saw the launch of the Scottish Logistics Report and examined the logistics challenges facing Scotland in the evolving European and global market places. This year's event, (partnered by DWF Biggart Baillie and supported by CILT), reviews and develops these key themes, and will also examine one of the primary challenges facing freight and logistics in Scotland during 2014; keeping deliveries moving before and during the Glasgow Commonwealth Games (23 July - 3 August 2014).

Delegates who attend will be able to stay one-step ahead of the Games as they will receive initial information to start planning in advance to minimise disruption throughout the event.

Attendees will also benefit by gaining a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities impacting on the logistics sector over the coming year, and will hear first-hand from those organising the Games about the affect on the supply chains of Glasgow, the rest of Scotland and further afield.
