There will be a varied line-up of presenters and topics at this year’s FTA Ireland Transport Manager Conference, which takes place on Wednesday 9 March at the Johnstown House Hotel and Spa in Enfield, Co Kildare.
As well as presenters from the Garda Traffic Bureau and the Health & Safety Authority (HSA), the Road Safety Authority (RSA) will give an update on the launch of the Operator’s Risk Index, which goes ‘live’ in 2016, and delegates will hear from the Electricity Supply Board (ESB) on the safe driver programme it runs for its large fleet of light commercial vehicles. Mercedes-Benz Trucks will give a presentation on Total Transport Efficiency, and there will be an update on employment law for mobile workers from Purdy Fitzgerald Solicitors.
In view of the serious situation for its members transiting the Port of Calais, FTA Ireland has secured the attendance of a speaker from UK Border Force, who will explain their civil penalty regime and give an update on the situation in Northern France.
The Transport Manager Conference, sponsored by Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Goodyear, Enprova and Total and supported by media partner Fleet Transport magazine, will focus on ensuring that transport managers have all the information, guidance and best practice advice they need on forthcoming legislation and enforcement changes.

The special ‘early bird’ rate of €220 plus VAT applies to any bookings made up to 29 January 2016.
