The Fortec Distribution Network has appointed Chris Dennigan as its General Manager Operations.
Chris, who has a career in logistics spanning some 15 years, first joined Fortec in 2012 and since that time has played an instrumental role in delivering a number of new initiatives to ensure the company continues to retain its competitive edge as well as attract new members.
Previously holding the role of Business Improvement and Performance Manager, Chris was responsible for rolling out the company’s new IT strategy which has provided an improved range of services to create total transparency across the network.
In his new role, Chris will continue to continue to introduce further enhancements to the IT system whilst at the same time playing a pivotal role in providing operational support to the member network and with the aim of continuing to improve the overall customer experience.
He will also be spearheading a number of exciting plans for growth which are in the pipeline to ensure Fortec continues to provide an exemplary level of service to its members and their customers as volumes continue to grow.
Commenting on his new role Chris Dennigan said: “This new role comes at a time when the pallet industry is enjoying a period of growth and will therefore bring about a number of fresh challenges.
“It will also provide me with an opportunity to work closely with the members to ensure all systems and innovations are running smoothly, expectations are managed so we can build on our achievements to date and continue to help our members to grow their businesses.”
Chris will be working closely with Dave Spong, Fortec’s Network Director who commented: “As part of our business plan one of our key aims is to work closely with member partners to continue improving their efficiency and profitability which in turn allows them to enjoy strategic growth within our network. Chris will be responsible for ensuring we have all the right systems, staff and operations in place which in turn will allow that growth and help move us ever closer to our ultimate goal.”
