Forkrent invest in Compact Manitou Telehandler

Forkrent the national plant hire company based in Ipswich, Suffolk have recently confirmed a new order for 150 Manitou MT625 compact telehandlers, increasing their total order for the Manitou MT625 telehandlers to 200 machines over the last ten months. This significant investment constitutes one of the largest orders placed worldwide for the Manitou MT625 model.


The popularity of the compact Manitou with its three steering modes and a tight turning circle is well suited to work in restricted building sites such as operating in basement areas feeding materials to the construction point. Customer benefit feedback focuses on the speed of hydraulics, the two speed hydrostatic drive and the reliability of the MT625 for total flexibility of use and enhanced productivity and efficiency.


The 4 wheel drive Manitou telehandler has a 2500kg load capacity and offers a lift height of 6 metre and a forward reach capability of 2m50.

Forkrent are at the forefront of health and safety issues on site and have ordered all the Manitou MT625 telehandlers with air conditioning , reacting to the customer demands for increased operator comfort.


In addition to the compact Manitou telehandlers, Forkrent have 20 Manitou ATJ Articulated Boom Platforms. The 160 and 180ATJ platforms with working heights of 16 and 18 metre respectively are well proven and cost effective platforms.


Forkrent appreciate the robust strength of build of Manitou telehandlers as they have a fully restored Manitou MT425CP from the late 1980’s.
