Late Wednesday night at a glittering ceremony in London, DSV Road was unveiled as the winner of the Global Freight Award's (GFA) Employer of the Year Award.
Judges commended DSV Road for the five training and recruitment programmes it has established over the last year and a half.
"These unique training and recruitment programmes offer employment opportunities to young people who face a tough job market and provide all staff with the tools they need to progress their careers," judges said.
"The training programmes are also designed with clients' needs at their heart. They centre on enhancing the customer experience, through improving the DSV Road team's ability to understand what the client needs and how DSV's services can meet those needs."
René Falch Olesen, Chief Executive Officer, DSV Road Limited, said: "To win this award is a real honour. We pride ourselves on our training and development programmes, so it's great that our efforts are being recognised at such a well respected awards ceremony."
Chris Malyon, Director of Sales and Marketing, DSV Road Limited, added: "Our programmes ensure we have a stream of enthusiastic employees that believe in the DSV Road philosophy and have the necessary skills to meet customer demand. Training and development of staff also helps increase staff retention by offering a clear career path."
The transport company is also a finalist in the British International Freighting Association's Freight Services Awards in the Staff Development category. It will discover if it has been successful in this award ceremony in January.
