As well as examining the current standards and techniques available to assist in energy efficiency and supply chain management, the conference includes practical case studies offering solutions to manufacturing challenges.

Other sessions will cover the importance of energy management and give updates on forthcoming legislation, in the UK and across Europe.

Speakers include Martin Fry, Chairman of ESTA and David Caddle of the Manufacturing Advisory Service, and there are case studies from Rolls Royce and Hambleside Danelaw.

The post-conference workshop, PAS 2050: 2008 – A new tool for managing supply chains aims to enhance understanding of this new standard on greenhouse gas emissions and demonstrate the necessary steps for its successful implementation.

Delegates will also have the opportunity to take part in discussion sessions and provide direction on the direction future standards for enviornmental manufaturing should take.
