Destiny and DSV Road Triumph at Logistics Awards

Once again, Destiny's digital pen and paper solution has been acknowledged as best in class at an awards ceremony. Together with client DSV Road, Destiny won the 'Outstanding development in information technology' award at the annual Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) awards for excellence.

Following a successful pilot of 130 pens, DSV Road, one of the top three road transport companies in Europe, then rolled out the solution to 700 drivers in the UK.

It invested in the solution to cut down on the time and administration needed to manage consignment notes, tracking and proof of delivery. This required a solution that was easy to use, especially for foreign and contract drivers. The digital pen, which DSV calls DIGI Pen, has delivered all of this as well as showing a remarkable return-on-investment.

DSV Road is the largest user of this technology in the sector and is considering rolling the solution out to a further five European countries where it operates.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, Destiny's CEO and founder Edward Belgeonne said: "This has been a great month for us. Not only have we rolled out over 700 digital pens to Derbyshire Mental Health Services and picked up an award with Whitbread at the Payroll Giving Awards last week, we have now picked up another award this evening."

"The fact that our solution has been responsible for two separate clients picking up two separate awards shows how impressive the case studies are for this pen.

"The digital pen has come into its own this year and is shining in a recession due to its affordability, ease of use and the financial return it provides to each of the clients who invest in it. I am delighted that DSV and Destiny have been recognised this evening. It is a great triumph for all involved."

Rene Falch Olesen, Managing Director, DSV Road, says:"The DIGI Pen has proved a great hit with both our staff and our customers. It has reduced the time we need for administration, and improved the information we give our customers. We are delighted to win this award with Destiny."
