Burnley-based refrigerated vehicle specialist CoolKit has promoted Alicia Threlfall into the newly created role of Production Planning Manager.

After many years of dedicated service to the company, Alicia will be moving from the sales department into the new position, which will provide improved linkage between the sales and operations teams.

Alicia says: “Having worked alongside the sales team I have gained knowledge of the refrigerated products and services we provide and understand our high quality standards and the importance of delivering a perfect refrigerated van to our customers each and every time.

“This new position will allow me to oversee the day-to-day management of the production team by making sure our supervisors in the manufacturing workshop have a point of contact with the sales team so that operations run smoothly. This will make sure that the customer requirements are fully understood by production and carried out to the highest standard.

“Once an order has been confirmed, all departments within the organisation need to collaborate in making sure we deliver the end product as promised and on time. In my new role as Production Planning Manager, I will also oversee the interactions between the logistics and supply chain coordination departments, whilst also providing support to our customers, with regular updates on the progress of their fridge van conversion.

“Due to the expansion we have experienced this year, we now maintain a large operations department, with in-house manufacturing facilities, which can hold up to thirty vans at any one time. This means fast turnaround times for our customers, whilst maintaining the high quality standards and attention to detail we have become known for in the industry.”
