The 200 British Environment and Media Awards (BEMAs), created by Media Natura and presented by WWF, recognize commitment and excellence in environmental reporting amongst journalists and other media professionals.

you deserve by entering the BEMAs. Relevant topics may include political, economic, health and scientific debate, consumer affairs and food or energy issues.
Categories for the awards are print and online journalism (newspaper, journalist
and magazine) television (news and documentary) radio (news and current affairs) website and campaign with two special awards-The Andrew Lees Memorial Award and The Awareness Award.
To enter, work must have been published, broadcast or undertaken in the UK between 1 January 2006 and 30 June 2007. Entries will close on Wednesday 18 July and judging will take place in September, at which three shortlisted entries will be chosen of which one will be the outright winner.

WWF Ambassador, Alistair McGowan who has championed the BEMAs in previous years said: "The importance of all who work in 'green' communications and who campaign on either local, national or global issues cannot be stressed enough, not only to inform us of the threats and challenges facing the world, but to inform us of solutions and encourage us to play our part."
