Braby, manufacturers of stainless steel and aluminium silos, take on Prostate Cancer Fundraising Challenge

A team from Bristol aluminium and stainless steel silo manufacturers, Braby, are preparing for the Run for the Future race on Saturday 20th September, as they go head to head with another locally based business, Brighton Williams.

The challenge to take on the 5 km run, which raises money for the Bristol Urological Institute's Prostate Cancer Appeal, will see Braby's Sales and Marketing Director Paul Mayer compete against his wife Caroline, who is running for the Brighton Williams team.

The challenge between the two companies was made at a local rugby match in April, which was staged in memorial to Derek Mayer, Paul's father who passed away from the disease in February.

Paul Mayer and the Braby team say they are determined to help prevent other men losing their lives in the same way.

Players from both clubs have also pledged to take part in this year's Run for the Future.

The fourth Run for the Future will take place on the Bristol Downs at 12 noon. Donations to the Bristol Urological Institute's Prostate Cancer Appeal can be made at www.runforthefuture.org.
