Virtual Transport Manager returns as Logistics UK marks 25 years of industry insight

Delegates will receive the same trusted briefings on regulation, compliance and best practice

Transport managers who can’t make it to this year’s sell-out conferences will still be able to get the latest compliance updates and legislative guidance, as Logistics UK brings back its Virtual Transport Manager 2025 event this November.

The online conference — taking place on Friday 21 November 2025 — follows the success of Logistics UK’s in-person Transport Manager series, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. With several venues already fully booked, the virtual event aims to give transport professionals nationwide access to the same expert content from the comfort of their own offices.

Designed for those unable to travel due to time, business or location pressures, the virtual conference will mirror the structure of the in-person events. Delegates will receive the same trusted briefings on regulation, compliance and best practice that have made the series a cornerstone of the UK logistics calendar.

Logistics UK has confirmed that the Traffic Commissioners will once again be involved across the series. Miles Dorrington, Traffic Commissioner for the West Midlands, will address the virtual audience, setting out the Commissioners’ priorities for the year ahead and advising operators on how to avoid non-compliance.

The one-day online programme will also feature a legislative round-up and compliance update, alongside a wide range of sessions including:

One incident, three regulators: compliance on trial – with transport law specialists Weightmans.

Preventative maintenance best practice – led by the DVSA and Logistics UK VIS teams.

An interactive session on the future of road regulation.

Shifting gears to improve driver health and road safety: The SHIFT Programme – presented by experts from Loughborough University and the Leicester Diabetes Centre.

A security-focused presentation from NaVCIS on tackling crime and theft in commercial transport.

Kevin Green, Acting Chief Executive of Logistics UK, said: “We understand that attending in-person events is not always convenient, however, it is still essential for transport managers to stay informed about the latest regulations and compliance updates. Just like our in-person events, Virtual Transport Manager 2025 will deliver all the key briefing information needed to stay up to date, and we would urge anyone who has not been able to attend an in-person event to secure their place.”

The Transport Manager series is accredited as a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) event, meaning delegates — whether attending virtually or in person — will receive certificates to evidence their learning.
