Vetspeed specialist waste management relaunches as novus environmental

Originally trading under Vetspeed Ltd, the specialist waste management company has officially relaunched itself under a new brand, novus environmental.

Based at Thriplow Heath, just south-west of Cambridge, novus environmental celebrated its launch by hosting an event at its head offices.

As part of the novus environmental brand launch, the company has redeveloped its marketing collateral. Its new brochures and website, www.novus-environmental.co.uk, were also unveiled at the launch event.

Since Vetspeed first launched its waste management division in 2001, the business has successfully transitioned its services and broadened its client base in both the public and private sectors including, for example, port health, animal and human healthcare institutions, biotech, food manufacturers and transport haulage companies.

Having recently celebrated the completion of its 5,000th job, novus environmental has grown to form a nationwide operator for the disposal of a wide range of challenging wastes including offensive, clinical, sharps, animal by-product, seized goods and other specialist wastes. The company continues to flourish with a forecasted turnover for 2010 of £1.5 million.

novus environmental's directors, Duncan Francis and John White, unveiled the new identity and business strategy.

Duncan Francis explained, "We are positioning novus environmental as an advancing business that is now able to transfer its existing waste management skills in veterinary, human healthcare and pharmaceutical waste management to service other market sectors.

"At novus environmental, we have the vision, determination and commitment to deliver market leading levels of service. Our expertise, knowledge and customer-orientated approach enable us to provide a friendly, efficient and bespoke service, either through a contracted service or tailored one-off collections."

Fully licensed and accredited, novus environmental's philosophy is to ensure that customers meet their Duty of Care requirements. The company aims to minimise waste and ensure a sustainable future for generations to come, believing that all waste should be handled, treated and disposed of with the upmost care using the best available technologies to safeguard human health and the environment.

As part of this, novus environmental was among the first companies in the UK to install Rotoclave technology, industrial scale advanced rotary autoclaves for processing human and veterinary produced clinical wastes. These wastes include paper towels and sheets, incontinence pads, dressings and animal bedding.
