The BlackBerry and Pocket PC devices that have enabled workers to operate more effectively while on the move can now help employers meet their duty of care, thanks to VeriLocation's latest product launch - a new online Personal Tracking Solution. The solution is based on VeriLocation's leading bespoke web-based GPS tracking software and works with BlackBerry or Pocket PC devices with built-in GPS chip sets. This enables individuals, as well as vehicles, to be traced in real-time using the internet to an accuracy of 10 metres anywhere in the world.
Employers' duty of care

Geofence alerts can also be set up to notify colleagues when a worker has arrived at specific location. The software even works out journey times and distances so expense reports can be produced automatically.
"In addition, users can view their calendars from the system and see actual locations of appointments within the context of the daily planner. They can send details of revised appointments or jobs using wireless push email, via a BlackBerry or Microsoft Web Outlook."
