UK based international freight firm steps in to table offer for difficult delivery

Plastic moulding specialists Engel UK, based in Tachbrook Park; Warwick, needed help with a significant delivery to their UK offices after commissioning a 1.8 tonne table made out of disused machine parts manufactured by the firm.

Engel UK, which supplies and services plastic moulding machines in the UK on behalf of its Austrian parent company, needed to transport the table from Leicester to its Warwick base and approached their regular logistics firm Exact Logistics, based in Rugby; Warwickshire for their help.

The two companies have been working together for over three years with Exact Logistics making regular deliveries for Engel across the entire UK and Ireland as well between the company's UK offices and European headquarters in Austria.

Adam Shuter, managing director at Exact Logistics, said: "This is not our usual type of delivery, we are used to dealing with high volumes of pallets rather than solitary large items.

"But Engel are a long-term client, with whom we enjoy a close working relationship, and when we heard about their predicament we were more than happy to be of service."
