Transline Resource supply chain recruitment appoints three more driver trainers

Not one to rest on its laurels Transline Resource - the leading supply chain recruitment agency - has invested further in its industry acclaimed driver training team with three new driver trainers to service its 20 UK driving contracts.

Daren Steele, Christopher Plummer and Barry Felstead took up their positions last month and are currently providing training courses ranging from Driving Assessments, Fuel Efficiency Training (SAFED), Safe Systems of Work and Full Site Inductions to the company's 1300 registered drivers.

All come to their positions fresh from previous driver training work but all cut their teeth as HGV drivers on Britain's road network so have a real connection with the guys they are training.

"I'm really enjoying the working environment and the way the training is provided," said Daren. "The drivers we've got here take a lot of pride in their professions and road safety in particular, so it's great seeing people who want to learn develop into accomplished drivers."

Both Daren and Christopher have been assigned to cover the company's traditional powerbase across the M62 corridor whilst Barry will be covering the South following a number of big contract acquisitions in the region this year.

Transline Resource Training Manager Steve Buckley said: "I've managed to run the rule over all the new trainers and I can safely say they're up there with the best. We're fully committed to training our drivers to above and beyond client expectations because we know our business depends on it. With Daren, Christopher and Barry on board I'm confident we'll remain ahead of our competitors when it comes to training."

Managing Director Paul Beasley added: "We've received high recognition from clients and industry experts for our training standards and investments. The market is going towards a greater need for sophisticated agency driver training and by continuing to refine our training offering with quality appointments I'm confident we will lead the way."
