Toyota Material Handling continues to drive forward safety and sustainability by introducing a new Quality, Safety and Sustainability team across their UK network.
The team is headed up by Quality, Safety and Environmental Manager, Keith Braidley who has more than 25 years of experience in the materials handling industry.
Safety, quality and sustainability have always been an important part of the Toyota way of working and are key to the success of the Toyota Production System. Last year Toyota was awarded 'Gold Level' by EcoVadis, where they scored highly in the four assessment categories in the material handling sector; Environment, Labour Practices, Fair Business Practices, and Suppliers.
Keith Braidley, Quality, Safety and Environmental Manger explained, "Commitment to quality, safety and the environment has always been a strong feature of our company, for as long as I can remember. Everyone seems to have a desire to do a good job and look for ways to improve what we do. It is an inherent part of our company culture.
Braidley continues, "We continually check, audit and make sure that we have clear and understandable instructions for the many tasks carried out by the team at Toyota. Communication is central to what we do and we try to be proactive and make sure that safety is at the front of the minds for our team members."
Keith and his team's commitment to Safety, Sustainability and Quality have been fed directly into the Toyota Material Handling Sustainability Report which will be available to download on the Toyota website www.toyota-forklifts.co.uk
