A series of new webinars - Tompkins Supply Chaincasts - were announced today to educate supply chain leaders on processes, operations, technology and value creation throughout the end-to-end global supply chain.
"Our organization is a supply chain knowledge leader," says Jim Tompkins, CEO of Tompkins Associates. "And our Supply Chaincasts are a way for us to provide supply chain professionals with the tools necessary to succeed in today's economic climate."
The Supply Chaincast series begins with an October 13 presentation at 2:00 p.m. EDT on The New Rules of Material Handling: How to Design & Implement Adaptable, Flexible Systems.
"Business practices are always changing, and we know that material handling systems operators are concerned about rapidly fluctuating demand patterns, potential wide swings in commodity costs, and trends toward smaller order sizes," says Kelly Reed, EVP of Tompkins Associates and lead presenter on the material handling Supply Chaincast. "So on October 13, we will share ways to improve system flexibility and expandability, as well as answer questions."
Webinar attendees will also learn more about warehouse control systems (WCSs), including the Tompkins Control System, which provides information needed to make real-time decisions about in-process transactions.
