Leading Romanian contract logistics specialist Tibbett Logistics, part of
the fast-growing UK-based Keswick Enterprises group, has underlined its
strong market position by signing a new five-year contract to extend
operations at the Europolis Park to the west of Bucharest.
Tibbett Logistics has operated from a facility at Europolis Park since 2008
and has now contracted operations there until mid-2016. The site comprises
22,000 sq metres of world-class warehousing, with over 30,000 racked pallet
positions and space for cross-docking operations handling up to an
additional 40,000 cases a day.
Tibbett Logistics currently employs approximately 140 people at Europolis
Park, where it serves one of Romania's largest retail chains. The facility
handles the delivery of over 1,400 pallets a day of imported products to 25
retail locations across Romania, plus 10,000 items of dry food and other
FMCG merchandise daily - both held in stock and cross-docked.
Europolis Park complements Tibbett Logistics' other multi-temperature food
distribution, multi-user warehousing and automotive warehousing operations
in Bucharest, as well as its warehousing operations in Hunedoara County and
Timisoara. Tibbett Logistics also operates an intermodal road-rail terminal
linking Bucharest with Constanta, and runs a nationwide transport operation
with a fleet of over 200 trucks.
Tibbett Logistics offers comprehensive logistics services to the automotive,
textiles, retail and other FMCG sectors throughout Romania and beyond. The
business was rebranded as Tibbett Logistics in May 2011 following Keswick
Enterprises' acquisition of both Delamode Logistics and Delamode's joint
venture with DHL - DHL Delamode - in Romania. Tibbett Logistics now manages
some 100,000 sq metres of warehousing in the country.
