The greenery wins top supermarket relationship award

Leading fruit and vegetable grower and importer The Greenery has won a major award for its relationships with supermarkets.

Netherlands-based The Greenery, which supplies a large range of vegetables, fruit and mushrooms to UK supermarkets and wholesalers, won the Industributie Award in the fruit, vegetables and bread category.

Dutch retailers voted it the best producer to work with in this category. It won particular praise for its trade marketing and its supply chain management and the mutual respect and appreciation between The Greenery and its clients

The Greenery UK's managing director Martin Brown said: "This award is very prestigious. We are extremely proud to have been awarded this prize and it underlines the hard work we put into maintaining and growing our relationships with our clients.

"Solid relationships are essential in order to achieve a healthy turnover and we are pleased that the work we invest in consistently delighting clients has been recognised."

The Industributie trophy is an initiative of FoodMagazine and Interselling Training. A total of 90 producers were assessed in a study by the Erasmus Food Management Institute. This body looked at account management, trade marketing and supply chain management.
