TGW Logistics' growth prompts recruitment boost

As a leading supplier of automated logistics solutions for warehousing and distribution operations, TGW Logistics has enjoyed substantial growth in recent years, which has seen its turnover go from £275,000 in 2007 to in excess of £30m for year ending June 2011.

To support this continued growth, the Market Harborough-based company has strengthened its UK workforce with 20 new appointments since the beginning of this year. This takes the number of employees from just three in 2007 to 90 in under five years.

Amongst the new recruits are Head of Business Development Mike Hilton, Lifetime Services Sales Manager Adrian Maybury, Senior Engineering Project Manager Graeme Mowat and Technical Manager Steve Boys. Engineering Purchasing Manager Mark Taylor has also been brought on board to enhance the collaborative partnerships TGW has formed with its suppliers.

The other appointments will focus on maintaining long-term customer relationships through TGW's Lifetime Services Division, developing the company's product and service provision as well as identifying new clients from target market sectors.

The company is also in the process of recruiting school leavers to embark on its successful engineering apprenticeship scheme.

"This is an exciting time in TGW's UK history," says Sales Director, Phil Steeds. "The significant increase to our workforce will enable us to expand the capacity of the business as we look to develop our products and services going forward."
