MyHobbyStore Group, one of the UK's leading hobby and craft publishing, exhibition and catalogue companies, has announced it has appointed mail order fulfilment specialists, Templar Marketing Services (TMS) to manage the order, fulfilment and distribution for all products ordered from its two direct-to-public mail order websites - MyHobbyStore.co.uk and MyCraftStore.co.uk. The contract, which officially takes effect from 12th April 2011, will see TMS providing call centre and managing the order and dispatch of around 25,000 orders annually across the two sites.
Says Matthew Rogers, CEO, Templar Marketing Services: "To be successful, a mail order business must clearly deliver on three distinct strands - simple and quick order placement; quality product; and, crucially, timely and consistent fulfilment and delivery. At TMS, we have honed our skills in the last strand for over 20 years and we know what needed to secure the highest levels of customer satisfaction in this regard. We will be applying all of this experience to the management of the MyHobbyStore.co.uk and MyCraftStore.co.uk contract to ensure that, moving forward, their customer service offering matches the impressive reputation both sites have built up over recent years for the quality of their products.
Rogers says TMS is activating a fully managed fulfilment and distribution package that will include having a dedicated member of our team on site to service MyHobbyStore Group's requirements. The fully managed package provides MyhobbyStore with co-ordinated front end ordering process, pick, pack and dispatch service for both websites, access to a very well established call centre, warehousing and management of direct shipments. It also provides a dedicated resource for stock ordering and full financial analysis of the mail order business.
"The TMS warehouse is in a prime geographical location and works exceptionally well as a key "goods in" and product distribution hub for all our clients," continues Rogers, "So servicing this contract from the same site will ensure MyHobbyStore Group customers can also benefit from an established and experienced fulfilment and dispatch operation."
