Local distribution company TS International Freight Forwarders Ltd,based in Telford, has invested in four new vehicles after expanding its operation to service customers in a much wider catchment area.
As a member of Europe's largest pallet network, Palletways, TS
International previously offered express distribution of small
consignments of palletised freight nationwide and across mainland Europe to customers in North Wales, but will now cover Shrewsbury and the
surrounding areas.
TS International, which employs 25 members of staff, is looking to
purchase a further three vehicles as the business continues to expand, as well as considering the recruitment of more personnel to help cope with growing demand for its services.
Each TS International vehicle is fitted with live satellite tracking technology, which enables the company to locate them at any time, thus keeping track of all time critical deliveries and ensuring optimum customer service levels.
David Richardson, Principal of TS International, said: "This expansion means our operation will increase dramatically, and as well as purchasing four new vehicles we are also looking to recruit new members of staff to help cope with demand. We are expecting 2007 to be a very successful year, and are hoping to grow the business by around 20% over the coming 12 months."

Its national network is centred on a hub operation in Lichfield, Staffordshire. Having collected earlier in the day from their local customer base, all Palletways members trunk their goods into the central hub facility where they are then processed through four warehouses totalling 350,000 sq ft. Utilising Palletways sophisticated "in-house" IT system, they are then sorted into designated delivery areas.
Members' vehicles then return during the same evening to their local depot with the goods they have been assigned to deliver. From here the goods are despatched to their final delivery points throughout that members' delivery areas across the UK. Bar-code technology and a consignment track and trace facility monitor the goods throughout the whole process.
