Taalus Ltd is delighted to announce the acquisition of Touch Logistics Ltd. This further fulfils Taalus strategic objective of developing and broadening its service offering by moving into the Technician and Tech Courier Markets.
Touch has over ten years of expertise within this sector and provides value added solutions through its UK wide network of employed and accredited technicians. In conjunction with Taalus existing mid to high-end break fix engineering capability, the Company will be unique in providing a seamless logistics and engineering solution tailored to its customers needs.
Gary Piper, joint founder of Touch alongside Patrick McConnell commented 'With all the changes and consolidation in the UK IT services and Tech Courier market place over recent months, this is a merger that demonstrates that two different organisations can be clearly stronger together. The complementary service offerings of Touch and Taalus place our combined organisation in a clear and unique position of strength. These are exciting times and Patrick and I are looking forward to defining future strategies for the business with Richard and his team.'
Both Taalus and Touch will continue to operate using their established brand names from their offices in Aston, Aldershot and Gravesend alongside a distribution network of 16 locations supporting a nationwide service, 365/24/7, throughout the UK and Northern Ireland. The intention is to capitalise on Taalus repair centre capabilities to further promote efficiencies emanating from the logistics and repair loop capability of Touch. The combination of capabilities and combined workforce of over 250 employees means an enhanced and broader offering to established channel partners and direct customers along with greater operating efficiencies. This is critical in the support of all customers reflecting current market conditions as well as pricing pressures being felt by all.
Group Chairman Richard Makowski commented 'Taalus has over twenty years expertise in Print and EPOS break fix and repairs, AV and Managed Services sectors. The addition of Touch Logistics further fulfils the strategic objective to develop Taalus into a UK and Pan European wide provider of efficient, effective and timely tech logistics and break fix solutions to sectors that we believe require a broader blend of service capability which our combined entity will be able to seamlessly deliver.' He added 'I am delighted that Patrick and Gary are remaining within our business as we develop our service offering and market share to our joint prestigious client base. Taalus still enjoys the support and commitment from Rcapital (its parent Company) with whom we shall continue to pursue our strategy to grow both organically and through acquisition'.
