Stertil Koni Skylift installed at new Volvo facility

Stertil Koni's Skylift has again been chosen by Volvo Truck and Bus East Anglia as its preferred vehicle lift. The Skylift will be used within a wash bay at Volvo's £6m purpose built facility in Wellingborough.

The new dealership, which opened in December 2013, features five service bays, modern workshop facilities and equipment plus a RoadCrew solutions shop, as well as numerous other facilities for customers.

Previous successful installations of Stertil Koni's Skylift in other Volvo depots in Norwich and Ely, meant that the new Sky-200 for the Wellingborough site was confidently specified.

Featuring state-of-the-art technology, the Sky-200 is constructed from galvanised steel for maximum strength and its hydraulic system is electronically controlled using inclinometers to monitor vehicle weight displacement and ensure smooth synchronisation between its four lifting points.

Capable of lifting vehicles weighing up to 20 tonnes and designed to be free of cross beams and posts, the Sky-200 ensures unobstructed and easy access to raised vehicles. Additionally, the ideal width for the setup can be chosen, depending on the type of vehicles to be serviced.

At nine metres long, with an extremely low drive on height of just 350mm and a generous lifting space of 1.75 metres, the Sky-200 is one of the safest and most versatile vehicle lifts on the market.

Simon Laffoley, National Accounts Manager of Stertil Koni, says, "With its galvanised steel and excellent under-vehicle access, Stertil Koni's Skylift is both reliable and durable and therefore perfectly suited to a washbay installation such as this."
